The latest World’s Best Hospitals 2026 rankings have put Monmouth Medical Center, based in Long Branch, in a notable 367th position amongst 2,500 global hospitals under evaluation. This in-depth research was carried out collaboratively by Newsweek and data specialists, Statista. Awarding Monmouth Medical Center with a score of 61.79%, the Long Branch facility stood out as the single representative from Monmouth County on the list.
Indeed, nine hospitals from New Jersey in total had the honor of being included. This constitutes the eight-year partnership between Newsweek and Statista, diligently striving to identify the leading hospitals worldwide. The systematic research involved a comprehensive review of four types of information namely, professional recommendations from medical experts, hospitals’ performance metrics, patient experiences during hospital visits, and findings from Statista’s Patient-Reported Outcome Measures Implementation Survey, as cited by Asbury Park Press.
Among the hospitals from New Jersey, Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown secured the top spot, ranking 53 globally with an applaudable 70.74. Followed by this, Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack bagged the 56th spot with a score of 70.07%, and The Valley Hospital in Paramus, taking up the 134th place, scored a commendable 65.36%. Other recognized facilities included Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center in Summit, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark and Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro, all showcasing strong infection prevention measures.
