Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, proudly stands as the sole hospital in the state to have been bestowed with an ‘A’ grade by the Leapfrog Group. The Leapfrog Group, a highly reputed nonprofit advocate for healthcare transparency, recognized the hospital’s superb patient safety record in their Spring 2024 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade awards. Out of approximately 3,000 hospitals assessed nationwide, Moanalua Medical Center is part of an elite group of 626 that received this ‘A’ grade distinction. The Hospital Safety Score is derived from hospital performance data collated by leading national healthcare organizations, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This scoring system uses over 30 national safety measures and the resultant data is freely shared with the public, empowering patients and their families to make well-informed healthcare choices.
