Interclean Amsterdam: A Global Epicenter for Cleaning and Hygiene Innovations

The recently concluded Interclean Amsterdam, a flagship event for the cleaning and hygiene industry, successfully delivered its agenda of fostering international connections, showcasing the latest trends, and presenting novel innovations. Spanning over four days, the event engaged its visitors with an array of knowledge sessions and a dynamic networking program, which included daily activities at the Interclean Social Club and a special ‘Feel Good Friday’ event. An impressive turnout of 875 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors from 143 countries lent a truly global flavor to the occasion held at the RAI Amsterdam.

Looking towards the future, Interclean will continue to serve as a global platform for the industry, with the next event scheduled in Shanghai from December 11-13 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). Furthermore, Interclean enthusiasts can mark their calendars for the next Amsterdam edition slated for April 14-17, 2026.

Reflecting on the success of Interclean Amsterdam 2024, Robert Stelling, the director of Interclean, expressed his satisfaction at the positive ambiance created for businesses in the cleaning and hygiene industry. He highlighted how busy stands, multifaceted networking events, and the establishment of new contacts further testified to the event’s success. Notably, the Global Executive Summit of the World Federation of Building Service Contractors and the Global Association Meeting, attended by representatives of international cleaning and hygiene associations, were significant features of the event, reinforcing Amsterdam’s reputation as the global cleaning capital.

A high point during the Interclean Amsterdam opening was the announcement of the Amsterdam Innovation Award. This year, the coveted accolade was presented to Diversey – A Solenis Company, for its LESSEAU NO-Touch Bar Soap dispenser & refills. In a new development, the Cleaners’ Choice Award was won by Baudoin Wash-Systems for its Baudoin Wash Drone, and Kärcher’s KIRA CV 50 attained the Visitors’ Choice Award, as decided by peers and partners in the industry.

The Healthcare Cleaning Forum, organized jointly by Interclean and CleanHospitals, was another major highlight. Held on May 16, the unique one-day conference centered on the vital role of environmental hygiene in curbing hospital infections. It gathered healthcare experts, including infection prevention specialists, facility managers, and industry representatives, for deliberations on recent scientific insights, new technologies, and innovative procedures. With a line-up of eminent keynote speakers and breakout sessions, the forum drew an international audience of healthcare professionals from over 143 countries.
