Riverwood Healthcare Center has recently marked a significant healthcare quality milestone by earning The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Critical Access Hospital Accreditation.
This prestigious certification signifies the organization’s unceasing adherence to performance standards which underscore its solid commitment towards delivering safe and high-quality patient care. Key to receiving this accreditation was an intensive inspection that took place between June 6-9, 2023 and was conducted without prior notice.
A team from The Joint Commission reviewed critical aspects of the center’s operations during their visit, assessing compliance with standards relating to a range of areas including emergency management, care environment, infection prevention and control, leadership, medication management and individual rights and responsibilities.
