For over a decade, our client has been a trusted provider of dental waterline bacteria testing, ensuring safe and compliant water systems for healthcare providers. As they expand their services, they are preparing to launch bacteria and endotoxin testing to help healthcare facilities meet the requirements of AAMI ST108—the latest standard for water quality in sterile processing.

To successfully implement this initiative, they are seeking an Infection Control consultant with specialized expertise in ST108 compliance and the water treatment systems used in healthcare facilities. Their goal is to better understand the specific needs of Infection Prevention professionals and Sterile Processing Technicians as they search for reliable solutions for routine water quality testing.

• They need a consultant who can provide insight into:
• AAMI ST108 standards and best practices for compliance.
• Water treatment systems commonly used in healthcare facilities.
• The priorities of Infection Preventionists and Sterile Processing Technicians when selecting testing solutions.
• The operational landscape of a hospital’s Central Sterile Department (CSR)—including key stakeholders, workflow challenges, and purchasing decision processes.

Time Commitment & Collaboration

Our client anticipates this role will require approximately 8 hours per month, with a slightly higher time commitment during the initial phase. The consultant will play a critical role in both advising on industry needs and educating the team on the broader sterile processing environment.
