The annual Newsweek evaluation is conducted in partnership with Statista, a leading provider of market and consumer data. The rigorous criteria set in place for these rankings primarily comprise feedback from healthcare professionals, patient experiences, patient-reported outcomes, and a meticulous analysis of hospital quality measures. The comprehensive list for this year included data inspection of approximately 2,400 hospitals spread across 30 countries, as revealed by Nancy Cooper, Global Editor-in-Chief of Newsweek.

In the domestic context, more specifically, CarolinaEast claim the 110th position amongst a staggering 6,120 hospitals on the 2024 list.
